We've always admired the original asymmetrical or "Brando" jacket.  It's timeless, seen on and off runway.  But with the original and the knock-offs seen in department stores, do they really protect?  We think you know the answer to that.  It's hard to find a jacket such as this having the options for armor/protection.  When you factor in the quality and flexibility built in, it's easy to choose why this is the perfect investment.   

In our opinion, this has the right balance of what's needed without the added bells and whistles - it makes the jacket heavier anyway.  Key callouts were the removal of the shoulder loops/epaulets, belts, and coin pocket found in others.   

The accordion stitching on the back and shoulders allow for better range of movement. The optional armor is light enough to protect without adding bulge to your shoulder, elbows, and back.  Since it's an option, you can decide where to place the armor.  (I particularly installed the elbow and back on some of my jackets since my shoulders are too broad - Sy).
